Calendar and Personalized Recommendations

When you open a BaZi chart, the main "Chart" tab is displayed by default (see the article Calculating and Using Your BaZi Chart).

Two complementary tabs are also available, currently in development phase, but already usable for testing.

"Personalized Calendar" Tab

This tab provides access to a personalized daily calendar based on the consultant's BaZi chart.

Content

For the current year, the different months and each day integrate the interactions between the natal chart and the year, month, or day.

Data from the Tong Shu (通書 tōng shū) allow evaluation of the energetic quality of the day, with both general and personalized information based on the consultant's BaZi:

• 12 day officials
• Calendar day stars (神煞 shén shà)
• Personal day stars (calculated from the consultant's BaZi)
• Hourly breakdown to select the most optimal hours according to the desired activity (in 2-hour periods, based on the Tong Shu)

12 Day Officials (十二建除值神 shí èr jiàn chú zhí shén)

A fundamental system of the Chinese calendar, it assigns a specific energetic function to each day.

👉 Usage:

• evaluate the overall quality of the day
• determine favorable or unfavorable activities
• refine the choice of a treatment date or intervention

✔️ Also commonly called 建除十二神 (jiàn chú shí èr shén), the abbreviated form used in calendars.

Calendar Stars (神煞 shén shà)

Calendar stars (non-personalized) are daily energetic markers from the Tong Shu.

👉 They allow you to:

• clarify the day's dynamics
• identify favorable or unfavorable factors
• refine the analysis as a complement to the 12 day officials

Personal Stars Linked to BaZi

Calculated from the natal BaZi chart, they relate:

• the day being studied
• with the consultant's individual energetic structure

👉 Interest:

• personalize the calendar analysis
• adapt choices based on individual constitution

Chinese Hourly Division and Adjustment with Legal Hours

The day is divided into 12 periods of 2 hours (時辰 shí chén), based on the earthly branches cycle (地支 dì zhī).

Since Tong Shu hours are in solar time, a button allows switching to legal hours to facilitate practical use. Pay attention to properly entering the consultant's place of residence in their file settings for this feature to be activated.

👉 The "View hours" button (at the bottom right) provides access to the hourly details.

"Personalized Recommendations" Tab

This tab is based on the Useful God (用神 yòng shén), defined in Chart → Chart Structure and Useful God.

Function

• Generates personalized recommendations for the consultant
• Automatically feeds the personalized client portal

Customization

The practitioner can:

• Add clinical notes
• Adapt recommendations according to their analysis

👉 Important note: the relevance depends directly on the practitioner's validation of the Useful God and its correction if necessary.

Upcoming Developments

These features are currently in development and will progressively enhance the tool. Among the planned developments:

• A favorable date selector according to activity type (clinical, personal, decisional)
• A patient follow-up sheet to structure long-term care
• Integration of BaZi stars (神煞 shén shà) directly in each chart
• Detailed visualization of interactions between heavenly stems (天干 tiān gān) and earthly branches (地支 dì zhī)
